Talking Points is a program that allows us to communicate via text message. Here are some examples of the types of class announcements I send:
"Scholastic book orders are due tomorrow!"
"It is blue and yellow day tomorrow. Wear your school colours!"
"School is closing at noon today. Please let me know how your child should go home."
"Bracelets will be on sale for $1 tomorrow at recess."
It also allows me to send you quick photos of things like a lost tooth, a special piece of writing, or the contents of the lost and found on occasion.

How to sign-up:
- Fill out the form your child brings home with the phone number(s) you want me to add.
- Do not download the app, even when it prompts you to! It is not necessary.
- I will text you a photo of your child at school the first day I have you as a contact. If you don't receive a photo 2 school days after you have returned the form, let me know at [email protected]
- Add the number you receive texts from to your phone contacts as "Mrs. Brillant" so you can find it easily if you want to get in touch.
Troubleshooting:
- If you are not receiving messages, it is probably because you downloaded the app. If you download the app, it is the only way you can use the program. If you don't download the app, I appear in the exact same way another text message contact appears on your phone.
- If you do not have unlimited long-distance texting, you can use the app to avoid charges.
